Position

In this role, you will lead and manage the oncology Business Unit for the Belux region by defining a strategy for the business in a high quality, timely, ethical and costs effective way. This role implies full P&L responsibility and the responsibility to manage a team.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Propose the local strategic and operational plans in line with corporate strategy and define and lead the execution of this plan by implementing roadmaps, KPI’s and resource allocation to optimize ROI and by ensuring cross-functional excellence.
  • Combine local market insights with affiliate and global ambition and contribute to the marketing & brand management plans as well as to the Market Access, Pricing & Commercial policy.
  • Build an effective network with the main external stakeholders (KOLs, scientific societies, buyers, pharmacists, wholesalers, suppliers, …) and ensure regular customer visits.
  • Represent Ipsen at congresses and events.
  • Lead and manage the team that currently consists of 2 Brand Managers and 4 Key Account Managers to ensure personal growth and professional development. Coach the Account Managers in the field and follow-up on KPI’s.
  • Facilitate interaction with the Global Franchise as the primary point of contact for Belgium and Luxemburg.
  • Define - in collaboration with the finance department - the annual budgeting and, if necessary, amend the running forecast according to the actual developments.
  • Report to the General Manager Belux and act as an active member of the Belux Leadership Team.

Profile

  • You obtained a master’s degree (or equivalent by experience) in a scientific and medical or in a marketing/business related field.
  • You have at least 7 years of experience in sales & marketing and product management, preferably in specialty care (pharma) or medical devices with a good knowledge of the hospital industry.
  • You have at least 2 years of experience in managing a team & coaching (key) account managers.
  • You possess strong analytical and project management skills to manage complex situations and make expedient decisions, execute plans in a most effective manner and achieve ambitious results.
  • You are fluent in English and have an excellent knowledge of Dutch and/or French.
